Job descriptionRN1 – OPERATING ROOM FOR THE HOSPITAL King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) is a tertiary care ophthalmic facility operated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The hospital provides quality tertiary ophthalmic care to the patients it serves and promotes the delivery of Kingdom-wide ophthalmic care through its outreach, educational, and research programs. For more than two decades, KKESH has been recognized for excellence in its delivery of ophthalmic patient care, for its strong educational programs (including continuing medical education seminars and symposia, and training of ophthalmology residents and subspecialty fellows and other allied healthcare personnel), and its highly successful research programs. The Departments of Medicine, Anesthesia and Pathology facilitate ophthalmic care by providing essential non-ophthalmic services. These departments are staffed by board-certified graduates of accredited residency and fellowship programs in their fields of specialization. The Medical Coordination and Eligibility Department reviews all referrals and identifies patients who meet the tertiary care guidelines for care at KKESH. Responsibilities will include: Management/coordination of an assigned Operating Room and surgical team. Providing direct nursing care for adult and pediatric patients. Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating intra-operative patient care. Appling interventions based on specialized knowledge and technical skills as circulator/scrub nurse. Functioning as role model/preceptor for RN II positions, new employees/students. THE CANDIDATE
Current registered nursing license from country of citizenship or professional practice. With a minimum of three (3) years current post graduate experience in acute care setting; two (2) years experience must be in the specialty assigned (medical/surgical, OR, pediatrics, ER). Western qualified nurses with two (2) years acute care nursing experience may be considered with excellent nursing references and experience.
Tax free salary: Saudi Riyal 14,444 per month equivalent to £ 31,586 per annum at the current exchange rate. Copy of education certificates (Diploma, Transcript of Records, Board Certificate or Registration) 5. Certificates of Employment from previous to present employer 6. Copy of at least two current senior nursing management reference letters 7. Other seminar or training certificates (if any) 8. Copy of passport 9. Preliminary Letter of No Objection (if previously worked in KSA) 10. Date of availability for employment 11. Medical certificate which will include HIV test.
